Tupperware
So...I was bad and left food in tupperware for a REALLY long time (ie: one for over four months, and the other for a month but it had seafood). Needless to say, the stench that emitted from the tupperware was not appealing...
So as I am totally a cheapass, I decided to try to salvage my tupperware. I figured if I dumped out the food (nasty), and cleaned it (nasty also), and didn't breathe while doing so (which I did by accident, which caused a very strong gag reflex), I would be able to use my tupperware again after letting it soak in some detergent for a while. But,
I was wrong.
I just went and dumped out the soapy water. The stench, is....the same as before. I had many gag reflexes in front of my coworkers who just looked at me like I was an idiot (oh, and laughed too). Apparently, they all believed my tupperware was lost. I still have faith. I'm going to let it sit out in the sun for a while (not anywhere close to nose range of course), and hope that the sun (the one that rarely comes out in Pittsburgh) will somehow be able to dissipate the stench.
I like my tupperware. I have strong bonds to them.

Bleh
God. In a super pissy mood this morning. I have decided that Portia is no longer my favorite cat. She and Simon have switched roles and now Portia is the one that is pissing me off in the morning. She started her ridiculously loud meowing at SIX in the morning. And continued to be a bitch for an entire hour. I even tried the "let me stuff you with food" act, but that only stopped her for a grand total of TEN minutes. I am SUPER tired.
Wanted to go to Dunkin' Donuts this morning, but didn't. Wanted to go to Kiva Han too, but didn't. Instead, am drinking SHITTY regular coffee on d-level. Friggin' annoyed.

Weekend
First things first...
I got a crock pot!! I'm so excited. Dunno why, but I have been dying for a crock pot for like, forever. The whole idea of letting something cook for the entire day, and then coming home and "boom" it is done, has impressed me beyond belief. I haven't gotten to use it yet, but I'm super mad excited about it.
Moving on...
On Saturday, EGO went skiing again at Seven Springs. It wasn't as cold that day, but the slopes were super icy. Plus, there was some crazy winds around the tops of the slopes. It was snowy too, so I was really lucky in that someone brought an extra pair of ski googles, or I would've been super miserable skiing (thanks, Adam...). But yeah, I didn't do as hot this time. Apparently I look like a mad crazed woman flying down the ski slopes with absolutely zero control (as described by Craig...). Oh, and I have some very loud squeaks in which people (ie Scott) can identify when I have fallen (or at least, know that I am about to fall and turn around in time to see me tumble down the rest of the slope). I had one particularly bad fall where I actually ended up landing on my head. It's kind of weird when what you see turns upside down. I had people yelling "yard sale" from the ski lifts and the skiiers behind me. It was a glorious (albeit painful and somewhat embarrassing) moment.
I also managed to stop the ski lifts on the "Coca Cola Polar Bear Express Lift" (like the name branding?) for almost a minute. Maybe that was more embarrassing as there were a lot of people standing there watching me. But, I didn't stop the lift getting OFF the lift, but while trying to get ON. And I got yelled at by the lift operator :(. I blame Scott of course, as he was totally in my way so that I couldn't move forward (which he agrees), but it was me who took a small crash and fell onto the floor. *sigh* Needless to say, it was an embarrassing start to the day. But, on the bright side, it did get better...
That was about it. Sunday was uneventful as usual. We made decorations for the upcoming Winter Party. We had a volleyball game in which we won (our first match win) because the other team had to forfeit (heh). We played some afterwards just for fun, and that was pretty good. I wish I could be miracuously good at it, but I'm not. Bah.

Bathroom
People who don't know who to use public bathrooms disgust me. What is it in the mind of a female that makes her believe that her pee on the toilet cover does not disgust everyone? Especially DRY pee? God. I just went to the bathroom at my workplace to discover that some inconsiderate bitch had peed ALL OVER the cover seat (apparently, she hasn't learned how to aim properly when not sitting, as I assume that is what she is doing) and just left it there to dry and ferment. That is SO nasty. Pisses me off. CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES. bleh.

Stupid
Here we go again.
I hate feeling stupid. Like as if b/c I didn't do as well in some stupid class, all of a sudden my opinion doesn't matter. Apparently, it was that big of a deal. And apparently, I am THAT dumb.
Somehow feel like I wish I could go back and retake the stupid class. Hating self at the moment. Friggin A.

Weekend
After I finally managing to reach Austin, I spent half of the day sleeping (surprise surprise). Mike picked me up from the airport, and we went back to his place to play with Miko. Miko is super fat, and I have the propensity to grab her and hug her until she squeaks and squirms away. With my annoying antics, I managed to get Miko to scratch Mike's new leather couch. Heh. You can imagine how UNhappy Mike was with me. Doh...
Anyway, Saturday was pretty relaxing. Like I said, I slept for a good part of it. Then we decided to make dinner. Well, Mike said he would make me dinner, but I couldn't help myself and ended up helping too. We made this Thai chicken peanut curry dish, and had chocolate fonude for dessert. YUM. :) Oh, and we rented six movies from Blockbuster. heh. We got through three of them before I passed out again.
Sunday was pretty decent. We went to eat dimsum for lunch. I remembered the place being better, but it was actually really oily. So, that was slightly disappointing. But, whatdya gonna do. Then we went to see the Miro Quartet play at UT. Contemporary music does not suit me, but I think they still did an excellent job. I have to admit, I am impressed w/ how Texans can even make classical music a Texas pride thing. The motto in the program: "This is Texas music!" *sigh* I don't think there is any other state that has quite as much pride as Texas...
For dinner, we had Rudy's. Man, I love that place. Everytime I go to Austin, I always have to eat there. There were so many places I wanted to eat that weekend...but alas, I only got to eat at two. Doh.
Monday flight back as bitchy. Short of it is that I ended up being put on STANDBY for some stupid reason when I had my flight changed on Friday. ALMOST wasn't able to get back to Pittsburgh on my orginal flight. But, I have to admit that I really like Continental service (again). So, I made it back on time, despite the FAT ASS that sat next to me. Maybe I am being prejudiced or rude or whatever, but I firmly believe that if you do not fit into a seat, friggin' by two seats so you can fit. And don't be mad at ME if you do not fit into your seat and have to give up half of MY seat when I get there. Dumb ass. Grr. Make me mad.
Umm...lastly, I went to see my first ice hockey game Monday night. Toronto Leafs (?) against the Pittsburgh Penguins. I wish I rooted for the Leafs, but then, as Scott would say, I would be a bandwagon fan. To that I have to say, "SO WHAT?" Rooting for the losing team sucks. :( But, on the other hand, we were there for a historic NHL moment: the Penguins just broke the record for the longest losing streak in the NHL. Ok, so you have to be excited about something. :)
Aiite, I think I am done for now. Long entry, huh?

Airport Con't...
As, I didn't have internet connection on Saturday, here is the entry I wrote:
Feb. 14
Ok, wireless access in Cincinnati is pay only. Boo. Free Wireless is so much cooler. So, that only means that I will have to post this online later...
And the fact that I am at an airport can only mean that...why yes...I didn't actually leave Pittsburgh last night. FUN! Waited at the Pittsburgh airport until 7:00 or so to find out that the PIT-ATL flight was delayed until 8:55, meaning I wouldn't be able to catch the flight from ATL-AUS. If I flew to Atlanta anyway, they would put me up in a hotel for the night, but the next flight to Austin wasn't going to happen until 11:30 the next day. So, I decided to stay in Pittsburgh and fly out at 6:30 this morning. They put me up in a hotel (which was nice, the fact that they paid for it, that is. Plug for Continental: they are the best). So, I was at this modest hotel for the night, by myself, channel surfing. SO BORING. I got bored enough that I gorged myself on snack food. For a moment I almost could see why people would eat non-stop. The food wasn't even that good, but I felt sort of depressed too, so it was sort of something to do...Thank God I was only there for one night. But anyway, after I finished gorging, I went to bed and had to get my ass up at 4:15 this morning to make my flight. This weekend is sucking it...
But anyway, now I am at the Cincinnati airport. They have lots of shopping here too. I've misplaced my chapstick in Pit somewhere, so I needed to buy more (as my lips are grossly chapped w/o it). But, since it was so early, nothing was open and I was only able to find crappy cheap chapstick. But now here I am at this airport, and everything is open, and they lots of great chapstick everywhere. :( And as I am a total cheapass, I can't bring myself to buy another chapstick since I just bought one. *sigh* I walked through the Body Shop though. They have some cool stuff. I wish I could just buy some of the stuff. But I find that I have shitpiles of lotion already. I tried on this papaya body butter stuff. Smells really good at this moment, but I bet if I bought a container of it, it would totally gross me out. How come sweet smells are like that anyway? Doh.
Bleh. I think this flight is delayed too (the one this morning was delayed too...). Delta sucks...

Pittsburgh Airport
Wow. Free wireless at Pittsburgh Airport. Kinda nifty if you ask me. I wonder if there are other airports that have this. Half the reason I even bothered to bring my laptop on my trip. Hehe.
On the other hand, I am able to even use this wireless connection because I am sitting here waiting for the NEXT flight to Austin as opposed to the one that I was supposed to be on. Trying not to be super duper pissy, but underneath it all, I am. The jist of it goes that my ride basically forgot that he was supposed to take me to the damn airport. He had a meeting that ran over for about 45 minutes, and it ended ONLY because I went and interrupted it (which I totally did not want to do because it was with his advisor). So, we were late, and I got to the airport at 5:03, when my flight leaves at 5:30. Apparently, they completely close off check ins 30 minutes before the flight departs. SO, I basically missed my flight. There was about 15 minutes when they were trying to find me another flight that I was afraid I wouldn't actually be able to leave today. But, they finally found me a flight through Atlanta to Austin. Going to leave here about two hours later, and get to Austin three hours laters than expected. Sucks...

List of things...
So, I found this off of Peggy's website . Bet Peggy didn't know I was secretly reading her blog site. Heheheh.
Anyway, here is the link for the article off of her website, entitled Women's Biggest Secrets Revealed .
Figured, I could comment on some of these things, of course (cause you kno, work is SO much fun...):
1) My best friend knows everything. She knows all of your vitals -- from the size of your bank account to the size of your other, um, holdings -- and she knows how both compare with those of every other man I've ever dated.
Maybe not always my best friend, but there is SOME female friend that knows something. Hehhe...
6) I still think about my ex-boyfriends and compare them to you. Mostly you win. Sometimes not.
Ok, so I know it's bad. But it does happen. BUT, hell, if you EVER do that to me, I will get super pissy. So, don't tell me. :)
8) When I'm falling in love with you, I completely lose my appetite.
NOTHING can stop my appetite. So I totally do not agree...
11) I have discovered your porn stash and your frequently visited porn Web sites and think the things that turn you on are hilarious.
Well, there is only ONE particular instance I can think of. And until this day, he is still getting a lot of shit from me. Heheheh....
13) When I say, "I'll meet you in 15 minutes," I mean I will leave in 15 minutes, and thus won't actually arrive for at least 30 (but probably more like 40).
And this gets me in super trouble a lot of time. But...I hate waiting, so I make you wait. :) Man, I am super selfish.
20) I'm constantly testing you. I observe, analyze, and judge every action, word, gesture, e-mail, and facial _expression.
This is SO true. I don't mean to. It's very, calculating. But, I do it every once in a while. Man, feel like a bad person. BUT, on the bright side, lots of women do it. Hehehe.
21) I check out your butt every time you leave the room.
Too bad it's always flat...
22) I need constant indications that you want me around.
Somehow, it's very necessary for the constant affirmation that I'm not annoying yet. Low self-esteem, here I come. At least, it's better than sticking around like glue and having that person think you are super annoying, rite?
23) I love it when you get a little jealous. So if you ever see me flirting in front of you with the waiter, the bus driver, or another guy at a party, know I'm actually flirting with you -- through him.
Yeah, so...don't go overboard. But, it's so true. B/c if the guy doesn't give a shit, then the basic assumption (in the female's point of view) is that he doesn't care about you anymore. So, get jealous! But...make it subtle. It's sexier that way...
25) I start fights with you because I'm feeling ignored. I'm trying to force emotion out of you. Don't retreat into your cave; just give me what I want: some attention. And never tell me to "calm down," unless you want to guarantee that I absolutely won't.
Actually, sometimes I just like a good scream fest. I also do it to see how bitchy I can be before you will break and yell at me. I know, it's crazy. I need help...
26) Even if I insist on paying or splitting the bill on our first date, I'll think you're cheap if you let me.
Had this discussion with my friend, but I can be cheap, but the guy SO cannot be. That's just the way it is.
28) If I'm going to break up with you, all of my friends know way before you do. I've been talking about it for 2 weeks.
No one should ever see it as a surprise. Each female takes a long time to think about what her next steps are. We talk, discuss, think about it so long before it ever happens...
Done. :)

Butt Itchy
Argh....butt is itchy. This is what I get for not putting on lotion like a good girl.
Why why why do I bother writing these things?
But in the end. Butt is still itchy. Sheesh.

Rent & Pantyhose
Yesterday I went to go see Rent. Overall, I thought it was pretty decent, but in the end, I still say that my all time favorites are Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera. I'm trying to decide, as I have had this problem recently, is that the reason I don't like the new musicals I have seen as much, is because I a) don't know what the story is about or b) just haven't been brainwashed by the music yet. Before I went to see Les Mis and Phantom, I had already bought their CDs and had listened to them a million times. So when I went to watch the live performance, it was really awesome. On the other hand, the new ones I have seen, Rent and Urinetown in particular, I couldn't understand half of what they were singing about. Not being able to fully follow what the performers are singing is, in a nutshell, annoying.
Not to say that they were not good. The actors/actresses in Rent could really belt it out. I blame it on the acoustics in Heinz Hall and Benedum Center. Or maybe they just had their mics all wrong. Or maybe because we were up in the Gallery. I have no idea. Bleh.
On the other hand. This morning at the gym, the lady next to me did something kind of peculiar (well, ok, I thought it was at least). She put on her pantyhose on first and THEN her underwear. So, I have to wonder, is this the "normal" way to do this? As Cynthia and Jen made fun of me last time for putting on my bra "unnormally", I'm a little reluctant now to pin down that this lady in the gym was doing something strange. I mean, is it normal? I always thought that underwear was supposed to be the first layer...you know? Maybe it's because my mom always did it this way that I figured it was the proper way (same with the bra thing). It's kind of funny how much your parents influence you in the most random ways, when you think about. But, I mean, am I wrong?

Another test
Probably much to Arthur's chagrin, I have posted another test. This one I ripped from Cynthia. Test .
My results are posted here .
Yay random wastes of time. :)

Blah
It's one of those moments...
Where you feel like the whole world could go to hell and you wouldn't give a shit. Actually, you'd be happy and go with it.
One of those moments when you can't decide why you are upset or depressed, but you are.
And you get more mad because you have no fuckin' idea why it is the way it is.
Life, in a nutshell, is shitty. And the only outlet? America's next top model. *sigh* Kill me please.

Morning
I have a meeting with my advisors this morning. As I thought it was at 10 in the morning, I got up pretty early to get to school to "prepare" for my meeting. Was sort of worried as I got in around 8:30, meaning I wouldn't have that much time to think through things, but as I was walking in the door I realized that my meeting is actually at 11. Hehe. This only means more time for me to surf the web and blog. Hahaha. I should totally be using this time more productively.
Oh, and for the lady on the bus who refused to give her seat up to an elderly lady when she was sitting in the "for handicapped and elderly" section because she "paid just as much to be on the bus", and also for badmouthing the bus driver for letting on as many people on the bus as possible when it is rush hour so that everybody can get to school/work on time when it is super cold outside: you are a bitch. People like you are what make society suck.
Two "episodes" in one day. No wonder they say that humans by nature are selfish. Most people are nice, but when you see/hear/experience general meanness or unkindness, you start to wonder...

Weekend
This Saturday, CMU GSA planned a ski trip to Seven Springs. It was mad fun. It was butt cold (ie, around or lower than 0 degrees Fahrenheit), but the snow was also really good (ie, person who goes every weekend said that was the best snow of the season). I wore a SHITPILE of clothes to try to stay warm, but I think (although no one believes me), suffered minor MINOR frostbite on my big toes. They hurt. :( I went down a blue slope, which was a major accomplishment for me. Although going down it doesn't mean I didn't basically tumble down the entire thing. I think because I was so nervous the entire time, I ended up working both my quads until they fatigued (I am still sore now). But I have to admit, wiping out is sort of fun in itself too. :) So overall, the day was fun.
On the caloric count though, I did very badly. Saturday meals included:
Breakfast: 1 egg mcmuffin, 1 mcdonalds hashbrown, 1/2 bacon egg and cheese biscuit
Lunch: 1/2 1/4 lb hot dog, 1 slice pepperoni pizza
Dinner: 1 package instant noodle with 1 scrambled egg.
How healthy is that?
Today, we watched the Super Bowl. As I didn't really care about the teams, Scott told me to root for the Carolina Panthers. They didn't win. And I uh, fell asleep in the fourth quarter (which happened to be the most exciting one). I think people took a picture of me sleeping. *sigh* But, afterwards, when we were trying to leave, my car got stuck in the snow. As one of my coworkers and his wife passed by, Scott asked if they wanted to push. The wife of the coworker actually HESITATED and seemed pissy that her husband wanted to help. As I am asking for help, I guess I shouldn't feel this way. But, I totally thought that was mad super bitchy. I guess maybe b/c Scott asked in not a polite way (as I guess we assumed we were sort of friends, ie "wanna help push?"), maybe she felt that we were being rude, but STILL. Boo.
Anyway, other than that, the day was pretty uneventful. Did a crapload of laundry, and that's about it. I like weekends. :)
