Weekend
This Saturday, CMU GSA planned a ski trip to Seven Springs. It was mad fun. It was butt cold (ie, around or lower than 0 degrees Fahrenheit), but the snow was also really good (ie, person who goes every weekend said that was the best snow of the season). I wore a SHITPILE of clothes to try to stay warm, but I think (although no one believes me), suffered minor MINOR frostbite on my big toes. They hurt. :( I went down a blue slope, which was a major accomplishment for me. Although going down it doesn't mean I didn't basically tumble down the entire thing. I think because I was so nervous the entire time, I ended up working both my quads until they fatigued (I am still sore now). But I have to admit, wiping out is sort of fun in itself too. :) So overall, the day was fun.
On the caloric count though, I did very badly. Saturday meals included:
Breakfast: 1 egg mcmuffin, 1 mcdonalds hashbrown, 1/2 bacon egg and cheese biscuit
Lunch: 1/2 1/4 lb hot dog, 1 slice pepperoni pizza
Dinner: 1 package instant noodle with 1 scrambled egg.
How healthy is that?
Today, we watched the Super Bowl. As I didn't really care about the teams, Scott told me to root for the Carolina Panthers. They didn't win. And I uh, fell asleep in the fourth quarter (which happened to be the most exciting one). I think people took a picture of me sleeping. *sigh* But, afterwards, when we were trying to leave, my car got stuck in the snow. As one of my coworkers and his wife passed by, Scott asked if they wanted to push. The wife of the coworker actually HESITATED and seemed pissy that her husband wanted to help. As I am asking for help, I guess I shouldn't feel this way. But, I totally thought that was mad super bitchy. I guess maybe b/c Scott asked in not a polite way (as I guess we assumed we were sort of friends, ie "wanna help push?"), maybe she felt that we were being rude, but STILL. Boo.
Anyway, other than that, the day was pretty uneventful. Did a crapload of laundry, and that's about it. I like weekends. :)
