Movie
I watched Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind last night. It's really good. I think it probably hits those people who have had a "first love" or "true love" more than anybody else. Or maybe those who are hopeless romantics. But, basically the movie is about Jim Carrey wanting to remove Kate Winslet from his memory, but then realizing that it's a bad idea (duh?). The idea that you would want to erase somebody out of your life, regardless of circumstances, is...well, appalling. I think that the relationships in our lives, especially those that are romantic, teach us invaluable lessons. Of course, afterwards, we'll probably look upon them and be a little nostaglic, and if the other person broke your heart, it will be miserable. BUT I think in the end, those memories are still most precious...
Left movie feeling slightly down, not the down like "ohmigod, I need to kill myself" sort of down, but the kind where you just go "huh...".
