GROSS

Today, Goober sufficed in totally grossing me out.

First, Goober managed to lick himself *down there* so much as to give himself a HUGE infection on his testicle. Not only did it smell like crap, it was oozing with pus. Needless to say, I was not impressed (actually, I was sort of worried about his health and freaking out as he was leaving pus stains on my floor whenever he sat down). So, I took him to the vet and got some topical ointment and oral medication.

No big deal right? HAH. FOOL ME! As I was applying ointment on his testicle later, which was already gross in itself, I noticed that there were white little things squirming out of his ASS. I looked (not TOO much) closer and noticed that they falling out of his butt hole and squirming around his anal region. Didn't take me more than two secs to realize that he has worms. OHMIGOD. I thought I was going to hurl right then and there. Little worms dancing OUT OF HIS BUTTHOLE *shrudder*. Looked it up online to discover that my little Goober has TAPEWORM *double shrudder*. Ran myself over to Petco ASAP and bought him some tapeworm de-wormer. Gave him and Portia (just in case) the medication and quarantined them from each other. Now, I'm supposed to wait as the tapeworm dies and slowly (but surely) comes out of his butthole some more. Apparently, as the Petco lady said, it'll just DRIP OUT. Not while he's pooing or anything, just merrily out at any random time. I'm SO excited.

Of course, I'm not particularly thrilled with the whole incident. Hopefully Goober will be all right. I think it's time I said goodbye to my sheets and comforter covers (until they are washed) though, as everything now feels like it could be potentially infested with tapeworm *shudder some more*. BLECH.
