Spanish & The Vote
So it doesn't strike me as weird that volunteers are needed to man the voter polls. But it DOES strike me as slightly retarded that there is a need for SPANISH speaking volunteers. So my spin on it is this: If you don't know the English language well enough that you need a translator, YOU SHOULD NOT VOTE.
I am so annoyed by this. WTF. There is absolutely no reason why it should be that a person who can't even speak the language of the country should be allowed to vote. If you immigrated, you had FOURTEEN years to learn the damn language. If you were born here, then you have ZILCH excuse. Bleh.
