Snowboarding!
So. My realization of the day: pain killers are a wonderful, wonderful thing. No wonder people can get addicted to this shit. My neck feels zilch pain right now...and I'm lovin' it. :P
Anyway. This weekend: snowboarding galore. Went to Squall Valley and Sugar Bowl. These are the highlights:
1. Carving does *not* mean kicking your board around until you face the mountain. This results in much pain and 360s all the time.
2. Snowboarding *is* painful. Falling on your ass and knees a bunch of time = bruises and fear of flat spots.
3. Falling off lift and twisting knee != fun. Falling on head == so much pain it's ridiculous.
4. There is a reason why Chris insists on knee pads and butt pads. But I am not smart enough to listen to him (hence the much bruising)
I'm sure there is much more...but for now that's all I can remember. Maybe it's the pain killer that is doing me in. Next weekend, we go again. I *will* master carving before the end of the season. Now...off to use the heat pad.
