Random thoughts
Random, not so interesting tidbits from the weekend:
1. I need to trust my friends more in keeping my secrets. *WHEW* :P
2. Seto sushi is super yum. Green tea ice cream + red bean paste = holy crap yum.
3. Running in shoes with low cut socks is a stupid idea = 2 blisters + 1 skin rubbed off. :\
4. I need to learn how to 'get in the groove' a lot earlier. Not feeling motivated to push self until after the second mile is not so useful.
5. Swiss cheese fondue is yum. But chocolate fondue is MUCH MUCH yummier. Tried to take pictures...but I left my camera in a friend's car. I *heart* fondue. Too bad I dunno how to stop!
Tomorrow I get to go snowboarding again (and for free too. SWEET!) Finally. Gosh...weekends are so weird without snowboarding. Could be perhaps the last time in Tahoe. There's always Mammoth....

Current lust
I want to go white water rafting here.
Level V!!! Seriously, how can you beat seven-foot drops in the WARM- UP section?!
LUST LUST LUST. Now...how can I justify to myself a 1.5 day trip that costs MORE than the digital camera I want?
WHO'S WITH ME! Hehehe.
Maybe I should just bum a season and become a white water rafting guide.

Gosh, I've missed Chinese input. Hahaha. This will stay up like a grand total of like five hours (or whenever I wake up) and decide that on my linux box, this is ugly.
And I *heart* this translation. This only tells me that there is SO MUCH more to go in terms of digital translation:
You or cause me to want to cry Did not know why thought how the matter can let me feel bad I knew I should disguise any matter all not to occur, should the little darling be appropriate you the good friend, but I accomplish Have we been never can return to before contently to pass?

Wontons galore
So. I finally got off my butt and decided to actually take pictures of food (sweet!) Too bad I am the super suck at framing (as you will see from the rest of the pictures). But whatever, if I don't keep trying, how am I supposed to get good, yah?
Anyway. So today, I made spicy wontons. I *heart* spicy wontons. Seriously, like one of my most favoritest food b/c it's SO friggin easy (no chopping of vegetables for wonton filling = very very happy me). So anyway, the ONLY problem I have with wontons are that I make them ugly. I have no idea how to make them pretty or look even remotely like a wonton. Exhibit A:
See? Not even remotely wonton looking. I *desperately* tried to make it look pretty, but it turned out retarded. Instead, it has ears. Or quote a friend, "It looks like a scrotum." *sigh*
But despite my inability to make wontons look attractive, I can still make them in LARGE quantities (where LARGE = one plate). And SEEEE...more is (somewhat) prettier. Or at least I like to pretend so. This picture took me THREE separate attempts. By separate, I mean, taking those poor wontons in and out of the fridge. First attempt: too blurry, bad lighting. Second attempt: WTF is there a sink in the picture?! Third attempt: bad *bad* framing b/c I stupidly cannot center a plate. BUT. I was sad for my wontons which were transported in to and out of the freezer, so this picture will do:
Notice how the tops of the wontons are slightly squished? THIS IS BECAUSE I HAD ALREADY SARAN WRAPPED THEM AND PUT THEM IN THE FREEZER. But SOMEONE gave me so much grief I had to take the pictures over (and over) again. I hate you, Ryan...
ANYWAY, after much mockery by people I showed my lovely wonton pictures to, I finally got hungry and cooked the wontons, and here is the end result:
Kind of looks yum, yeah? Had to wait five minutes before I could actually eat them so I could friggin take the pictures. But, I guess it's all good.
Maybe if I get unlazy, I'll put up the recipe. :P

Things that I like that make me weird
1. I love vacuuming. I *love* seeing all those dust particles/cat hairs/human hairs/whatever getting sucked into my Hoover. It's awesome. And it destresses me when I get to dump all this crap into my garbage can. It's like a competition: "How dirty is my apartment THIS time?" (I said it was weird...)
2. I love giving my cats baths. And I seriously *heart* the smell of their soap. It cracks me up when they look like soaked rats, and they're meowing away pitifully. Breaks my heart, but I know they will smell terrific afterwards. :P
3. I love the smell of Scrubbing Bubbles. I dunno what it is, because you're really not even supposed to be in a room without ventiliation if you are using that stuff, but whenever I clean my tub and I get to smell that stuff, I feel....happy.
4. I love being drunk enough that cheap, stinky wine (e.g. two buck chuck) no longer tastes like ass. Start off with a more expensive bottle, and then downgrade for the next. It's the fact that the *average* is cheaper that makes me happy.
Going couch shopping today. HOPEFULLY I will find one. I'm sick of sitting on the floor.

Yum yum yum
Doug made gyoza tonight. I got to have AS MANY GYOZA as I wanted. I think I had twenty. *sigh* So yum.
Then I made white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies and regular chocolate chip cookies.
I'm suffering from MAJOR food coma.
Tomorrow...I get to have awesome deep dish pizza and watch the two episodes of Grey's Anatomy that I missed.
Hehehehe...I'm so easily entertained. Yummy food definitely makes me happy.

Adventures of an ex grad student
(WAY BACK) in grad school, I was submitted a paper to a conference. It got in. The camera ready is due this Monday. This weekend, Cindy invited me to go on a two day snowboarding trip. After much debate, what do you think I did?
Yeah...you better believe it. I went on the snowboarding trip. :P And the BEST part is when my PA called me while I was in the middle of a run and asked, "Is this an ok time?" and I had to say "Let me call you back in two minutes" so I could get to the bottom of the mountain to have a discussion about my paper. So I sit there, in the blaring sun, with five bazillion people milling around the lift, having a *very important* discussion about my paper while doodling in the snow with my finger. Marius managed to go up a lift and come back down by the time I finished my conversation. It was great.
On the other hand, I got *super* beat up this weekend. The weather was ok, but the mountains were completely iced over. There were times where I seriously considered just stopping, it was so tiring. My knees are completely bruised over (I would show pictures, but every one I take looks like I'm just trying to show lots of skin...), and I think I bruised my tailbone too. :( I can't sit...or walk. I bruised my tailbone/butt on Saturday, but I still went on Sunday too. That was about the stupidest move ever. EVERY SINGLE HIT felt like a bazillion needles going through my body. I think after my first fall (on a flat spot...sigh), I almost started crying. Later, when I crashed and hit my head really hard, I actually had a *SIGH OF RELIEF* that it wasn't my butt. Crazy, huh?

Me me me
I want to say so much, but I can't.
I feel like I take advantage of people, but I don't stop.
I realize that I am being irresponsible, but I continue anyway.
I want to be everything, but just not be me.
****
I'm not depressed or anything, just thoughts for the moment. Ryan made my day today when he said, after looking at a picture of me from four years ago, "hey, your hips got smaller" and although in MOST cases that would seem offensive, I was like "SSSWEEETTT!!!!" b/c smaller hips, even if that means I had hugo hips from before (which, I know I did/still do), is still better than the same size hugo hips now. :)

Bloop
Today was tough on my body. I am so friggin scared of flat spots that it's ridiculous. I totally psyche myself out everytime I see them. I think I must've fallen like 10 times on the flat spots. I can be cruisin' along just fine, and then I see a flat spot, and my body? Decides that it's time to fall on my knees. Doesn't matter why/what/conditions...my eyes sees flat spot = me on the ground. My knees are super crazy bruised. I also went through the tree lines today. I became a super tree hugger. Almost crashed into a few trees. Had a few trees help me up after I fell (in fear of hitting them). It was awesome. But tiring. I think Doug and I got in like six runs in the first 1.5 hrs we were there. Craziness. I think we would've done more than what we did, but my BINDING BROKE. ON THE MOUNTAIN. Stupid thing wouldn't tighten at all, so it was like not having a binding at all. Had to basically falling leaf it for my last run of the day. But...s'all good. I'll be back. :P
On another note: I got chick-fil-a tonight!!! It was even a standalone Chick-fil-a. I was so excited I took a few pictures. I love my Chick-fil-a. Then since Doug didn't want fast food, we also had sushi at this awesome sushi place. So I basically had two dinners: Chick-fil-a and sushi. YUM YUM YUM.
