Officially...
Officially...I am signed up to run the Nike Women's Half-Marathon. Put myself in for the random drawing, and apparently I got "lucky" and was drawn. Paid the registration fee...no turning back now.
This is what it means: On Oct 21, 2007, I'm gonna wake my ass up at 4 in the morning to get to SF and run 13.1 miles with a bazillion other females. I'm pretty sure I was crazy when I signed up for this.
I calculated: I run about a 9 min/mile (give or take some). Half marathon is 13.1 miles. Pace calculator told me I would be freaking running for two hours. Two hours. TWO HOURS! I am so going to die. If not from tiredness, then from boredom.
God. I better be in like the best shape of my life after this shiznazz. Or at least, the Tiffany charm better be REALLY ridiculously awesome.
I know there are lots of people who love running marathons and all that crap. But I am a full on AEROBIC CLASSES kind of gal. Wonder how I am going to pull this off...
Well...at least it'll be an experience. :)
