Nine and a half miles!!!!
Totally unexpected too. And was awesome (in a 'omg, WHY is this run not over' sort of way).
I really like the Nike Run Club. Yay females!

Whining
Why can I feel like I work my ass off (exercising), and STILL HAVE A GUT.
It must be that bowl of ice cream that I reward myself afterwards. But whatever. Grrrr.
Got a new black toe nail last night. A few weeks ago I was doing yoga and while doing a down dog, I noticed that one of my painted toenails had a circle of black around the nail. Half in denial, I kept the toenail polish on and pretended it was ok. I took my toenail polish off last night. And lo and behold, that was one completely black toenail (gross). And the toe next to it? Starting to discolor and looks pink with tinges of blueish black. Pretty sure within a few days it's gonna be black.
I think it seriously is high time I got new shoes.

Want: grill.
Everytime I go to Nicole's house, I want a grill.
Well...really, I want her kitchen, her grill, and maybe her pool too (although I have heard a pool is a PIA to take care of, so maybe just the grill and nice kitchen).
Saturday: WWAAAYYYY too much Chardonnay. And I don't even like Chardonnay! But lots of yummy food again...and lots of loud giggling and laughing by all of us. As one of Nicole's housemates said, "You guys are MUCH more drunk this time around" and that was definitely true. Made slow cooked bbq ribs (my first!). Too easy and too yum. Also, got to use a pineapple corer. I want one of those too.
Also: grilled brie with bread? Awesome. Grilled brie with pineapple? To die for. Holy crap I am food whore. :)

Yesterday, I went to step class, and for some reason, my pants felt kind of funny. Felt like they were falling off in the back. So, the entire time I was pulling them up since I felt like I was about to moon the whole world.
After an hour of pulling on my pants and feeling like a retard, I go to the bathroom to discover that I've HAD MY PANTS ON BACKWARDS THE ENTIRE TIME.
So much is explained by looking down and seeing the tags facing right up at me.

Gadget Love
I *finally* got my heart rate monitor (after two years of deciding if I really wanted it). It's SSSOOOO cool. Although I haven't gone working out with it yet, I have learned that my resting heart rate (despite my excitement in trying the HRM out) is 55 BPM. I can't wait until I go out running with it.
ALSO. I got my ShoePouch for my Nike+ sensor. This is also super cool (nike+ that is). Although it hasn't been calibrated for my stride (it thought I had run 3.7 miles when I only ran 3.1), it's still cool. I like the timing (which i guess my HRM does too), but also the "distance". Now once I calibrate it, it's going to be awesome.
I am totally in random exercise gadget heaven right now. Running has made me a slave to gadgets. And next is to actually buy shoes that work with my feet. Having ten bazillion blisters and one black toe nail probably isn't a good thing.
On side note: Nike has me completely whipped. A lot of my exercise stuff is Nike: Nike capris, Nike shoes, Nike+, Nike HRM. I even freaking run with the Nike run club and am running the Nike's Women half marathon. Maybe I should start working at the Nike store too.
