Nike Women's Half - DONE!

Surprisingly, not wanting to die afterwards. Actually, pretty awesome. Woke up at 5:30 in the morning...at Union Square around 6:15...cross start line around 7:15 or so, cross finish line around 9:18 or so.

Officially: http://www.doitsports.com/results/page.tcl?id=85923
and search for my name.

I think I would like to be sub 2 hrs. Carri and I have another one in two weeks where the course is completely flat. I KNOW we can do it! I'll just have to push this time since the girl that about killed me this time around (Monica) isn't going to run with us next time.

Takeaways for the day:
1. I *love* energy drinks - especially going up hill at mile 9? AWESOME.
2. Dodging/weaving through people for the first two miles makes for a much more entertaining run.
3. NOT having your cell phone and then leaving you running partner is a STUPID idea. Especially when you forget prior meeting place that she and her bf had decided upon (equals searching for each other for two hours).
4. I want a water fanny pack. I can look like a dork, but dude, hydration is a wonderful thing.
5. San Francisco is PRETTY. Running through Presidio and Golden Gate Park was really nice.
6. I'm almost afraid to say it, but dude, I think I want to run a marathon.

I'm kinda proud of myself. :) Running the dish (which was hellish) was like, the best idea in the whole world. Made the hills here seem not quite as bad. But seriously....I'm still in awe at how far we've come.

EDIT: Look! Picture of me at the finish line! I like how everyone else looks pretty relaxed and I am the only who looks like I am about to die.

(Oh...and I totally stole the picture. Heh.)
