Gah.
So, when I bought my MX-5, I think I was a little too eager. I found a place close by, and they gave me a good deal. It was the car I wanted (all the features I wanted, the right color, etc), so I was pretty stoked. When I went to pick up the car though, I (or my friend, really) discovered that there were two minor dings on the car already. I was a little bit reluctant to just buy it, but both my friend and the car salesman basically convinced me that dings like that could be taken out really easily. So, I decided to just go with it (I think, upon reflection, I probably should have asked for more money off as well, but I didn't...sigh). Sales guy told me that I could bring it in and they'd fix it and I wouldn't even notice the difference.
So...made an appointment this past Tuesday. Dropped my car off, got a rental, and came back the next day. Seemed like it was going to be a done deal, but THANKFULLY, I said I wanted to look at the car before I signed the papers saying that it was all done. I went to go look, and dude, one of the dings was STILL THERE. Like, noticeable enough that I could just point it out and the service guy didn't even try to BS me saying that he couldn't see it. So, I told the service guy, "I AM NOT SATISFIED" and about threw a fit (yay drama). He was like "Well to fix it, we'll have to take it into the body shop and get the whole front side panel repainted." I wanted to cry. :( But, thankfully, he got the work approved, and so now I have to take my car back in AGAIN next Tuesday. My baby's gonna be gone for like 3-4 days while they pull out the ding. I guess, one "consolation" is that they are paying for all of it (duh), and giving me a rental car. It's just annoying.
Sometimes...I really think I should've just gone to the other dealership to get my car.
