WTF.

I have come to the conclusion that I should just not buy a new car.

Last year, I bought a brand new Mazda MX-5 (aka Miata for all you haters). I debated between getting a new and used one, and the new one won out because it was the color I liked, and it was, well...new.

So...I *love* this car. I do things for this car that I didn't do for other cars. I wash it (and freak out every time a bird craps on it), wax it, make sure it gets its oil changed on time, park extra far away from everyone at work so cars won't park near me (although, that is fruitless because despite where I park, some random HUGE car/van/SUV will find itself next to me even when there is a gazillion parking spaces next to me), I even freaking wash and condition the leather seats! I have devotion to the car that I didn't think I could have.

Within a few weeks after purchasing my car, I found a scratch on it. No idea where it came from, made me super angry. My roommate gave me the garage for our apartment complex since he knew how much I loved my car. But then...our parking situation got a little sparse and roommate asked for garage space over a weekend. That weekend? Car got freaking EGGED. Scratches all over rear driver side panel. I was livid.

But then, I got over it. La la la. A couple of months ago, I went to Ranch 99. Someone rammed a shopping cart into my rear bumper. SCRATCH. Two weekends ago, I came out of Ranch 99 (apparently I do not learn), to see a shopping cart FLYING toward my car AGAIN. Someone had so callously left said shopping cart free roaming in the parking lot, and it had managed to direct itself toward my car. Had to fling grocery bags to the side to catch stupid shopping cart before it hurdled into my car. AGAIN. Needless to say. LIVID.

This past weekend, I went out of town. Roommate asked for parking garage space again (he really does have a right to it too, and has been very generous to allow me to use it for so long), so I gave him said spot. What do I find when I come home? HUGE FREAKING DING IN MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR. I cannot believe it. Looks like someone has no idea how to estimate the width of their door when they open a car door and just ran into my car door. LIVID.

So...what I have learned from all these experiences? I should *NEVER* buy a car that I will care so much about. I am annoyed out of my mind.

Sometimes, you see things you shouldn't see, and then you just get super SUPER angry.

I probably shouldn't have looked, but I did, and now I'm just annoyed.
